Where I found useful wood shed plans and jumpstarted my woodworking skill
I wanted to build a shed in my backyard to have a little shade for the upcoming summer. After hours of looking through Google and in forums , I was getting frustrated. The DIY stores like Home Depot and Lowes are too expensive for me right now. But, I stumbled upon CheapWoodShedPlans and MyShedPlans.
My first impressions seemed like it was a little excessive for my needs, as they have a long list of project plans. But, I downloaded the free plan and saw that it was just what I was looking for. It has step by step instructions. I am a beginner and this made the whole project a breeze. It paid for itself with the money it saved me on my shed, and it was a lot more fulfilling to build my own shed than purchasing a DIY kit. MyShedPlan takes you from selecting the material to the final step. It holds your hand the whole way.
Now for the negatives: There are some plans that I will probably never need. I don’t plan on ever building a carport. So it seems like I paid for a little excess, but for I needed it was ideal.
Some steps were a little difficult, but compared to the frustration of DIY kits with instruction manuals poorly translated into English. On first glance the diagrams and blueprints look overwhelming, but they are broken down into manageable chunks effectively.
I would recommend this product to anybody for any woodworking project, as it has the techniques for general woodworking as well. Not only does it have the steps for a shed, it includes designs for everything from a chair-swing to a carport.
Final Conclusion: Worth every penny, couldn’t speak more highly of it. This product took me from just dabbling in carpentry to becoming a weekend woodworking warrior. For more information follow the link below.
